Tony Galati, affectionally know as the Spud King following a lengthy battle with the now-defunct potato corporation… and for his impressive eyebrows!  He embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship, leadership, and philanthropy, driving positive change throughout Western Australia.

Raised in an immigrant family, Tony’s journey from tending a small vegetable plot as a child, to spearheading the Galati Group’s diverse enterprises, is a testament to his relentless work ethic and vision.

From humble beginnings in the family’s market garden in Spearwood, to the establishment of the first Spudshed store in Baldivis in 1998, and today 17 stores with more in the pipeline, his commitment to ensuring the accessibility of affordable, fresh produce has remained unwavering.

Beyond his business endeavours, the Galati Group actively contributes to the local community, supporting initiatives such as Telethon7, the Perth Children’s Hospital and most recently Juvenile Diabetes Research, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to making a positive impact beyond the realm of business.
