2015: It’s a wrap!

LIVEXchange 2015 in Darwin was a huge success! Building on from LIVEXchange 2013 in Townsville and LIVEXforum 2014 in Melbourne, LiveCorp and ALEC worked with NTLEA to deliver another thought provoking, inspiring and informative conference focused on the trade from northern Australia.

Registrations reached more than 400 delegates including exporters, producers, government officials, international delegates and other industry stakeholders and members from the supply chain.

The keynote address from Iain Mars (Minerva Foods) and the discussion with Temple Grandin on her recent trip to Indonesia were key highlights of the conference.

The Producer Forum also provided many great insights into the livestock export industry for producers, highlighting the importance of strong communication and relationships throughout the whole supply chain to reach the best outcomes possible.

The social events provided much deserved reflection and celebration of another great year in the Australian livestock export industry. Bjᴓrn Clausen was awarded the Lifetime Achiever award and Ben Stanton received the Young Achiever of the Year award. The annual charity auction was another huge success, raising more than $60,000 for the Rawinala Foundation in Indonesia through Rotary Club Jakarta Cilandak. An article by ABC Rural on the Charity Auction and Foundation can be read here.

LiveCorp and ALEC thank NTLEA, staff members and all those who contributed to the conference, for their time and effort put into achieving such a terrific event.
