John Cunnington is the current Chair of the Western Australian Livestock Exporters’ Association (WALEA). For the past 50 years, WALEA has proudly represented the interests of the livestock exporters operating in Western Australia and the supply chain that supports the industry.

John’s primary role is at Halleen Australasian Livestock Traders, a company with a long history in the livestock export industry with a predominate focus on the Asian market. Halleen was the first company to export feeder cattle to Indonesia over 40 years ago and remains a prominent supplier.

John currently holds director roles across industry, including Halleen Australasian Livestock Traders, Australian Livestock Export Corporation and The Livestock Collective. He is a previous director of the Australian Livestock Exporters’ Council and was the inaugural Chair of the Young Livestock Exporters’ Network.

John holds a Masters in International Business and Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Finance).
