Perth-onalities to feature at LIVEXchange
24 March 2025
Several local identities, including ‘spud king’ Tony Galati and radio personality Oliver Peterson, have confirmed their involvement in the livestock export industry’s premier conference, LIVEXchange, which is being held in Perth on 26-27 November 2025.
Registrations are now open, with around 400 delegates expected from across the supply chain.
The conference is run by LiveCorp and the Australian Livestock Exporters’ Council (ALEC) and this year is being hosted by the Western Australian Livestock Exporters’ Association (WALEA).
WALEA Chair John Cunnington says LIVEXchange is a chance to learn from each other, and from those outside the industry.
“We’re excited to have businessman and potato grower Tony Galati on the program, sharing his passion for food security and the importance of WA’s farming industry,” Mr Cunnington said.
“Paul Holmes à Court, from Heytesbury Pastoral, will outline the role of live cattle exports in northern Australia and the importance of relationships with destination markets such as Indonesia.
“WA agricultural identity Harold Sealy is our conference MC, while 6PR talk-back host Oliver Peterson will MC the gala dinner.
“Other speakers include former Australian Chief Veterinary Officer Dr Mark Schipp, and Voconiq CEO and co-founder Dr Kieren Moffat.”
LiveCorp CEO Wayne Collier says registrations have opened with a super early bird special price for the full conference, to help make it affordable to participants right along the supply chain.
“LIVEXchange brings together livestock exporters, farmers, suppliers and service providers from all over Australia as well as importers and other international delegates,” Mr Collier said.
“It’s about sharing insights, networking and socialising, while showcasing and celebrating all the industry has to offer to communities here and in destination markets.
ALEC CEO Mark Harvey-Sutton says it’s also a chance for the industry to raise funds for groups making an impact in their communities, through an auction held at the prestigious gala dinner.
“This is a standout feature of the conference, and we have two recipients this year,” Mr Harvey-Sutton said.
“The Regional Men’s Health Initiative empowers community members and local groups to conduct health promotion and education activities, while The Livestock Collective shares authentic stories from the livestock export supply chain to allow people to access factual information and make informed decisions about the industry.”
LIVEXchange is being held in Perth on 26-27 November 2025. Road Trains of Australia is the major conference sponsor, while Heytesbury Pastoral and Halleen Australasian Exports are co-sponsors of the gala dinner.
Registrations are now open with a super early bird special of $750 for the full conference, including welcome reception and gala dinner.
Organisers acknowledge the support of the Government of Western Australia and Tourism WA through Business Events Perth and the City of Perth.
