Nutrien Ag Solutions and the Australian Livestock Exporters’ Council (ALEC) are pleased to announce the winner of the 2022 Livestock Exporter Young Achiever of the Year award, ILSC Roebuck Depot Manager, Ceny Hussie.
Nutrien Ag Solutions’ General Manager, Customer and Business Services Tom Breen presented the award at the LIVEXchange conference in Darwin on Thursday 10 November.
Mr Breen said he was impressed by the calibre of the nominees across the board.
“It has been another year for outstanding nominees. They all demonstrated a strong commitment to their immediate roles, but also to ensuring the sustainability of the live export industry into the future,” Mr Breen said.
Ms Hussie has an extensive career across live export at a range of companies and is now in a senior management role at the Roebuck Export Depot. ALEC Chief Executive Officer, Mark Harvey-Sutton, noted that Ms Hussie was nominated by an industry peer and that her commitment to the success of the industry made her stand out.
“Ceny is willing to take on leadership responsibilities and always provides outstanding service to clients and exporters. She encourages growth in people who work with her and is devoted to the northern pastoral industry,” Mr Harvey-Sutton said.
“The calibre of all our nominees continues to demonstrate the commitment that our emerging leaders have to the innovation, sustainability and high standards of the Australian livestock export industry. In particular, Ceny has shown leadership and the panel was impressed with how she understood the importance of her role in achieving optimal animal welfare outcomes as well as a successful commercial outcome for her customers.”
“She is a deserving recipient, and we look forward to seeing her future impact on the industry.”
