2022: It’s a wrap!

LIVEXchange was held 9-10 November, 2022, in Darwin.

The conference is the major event for Australia’s livestock export industry, held every two years as a joint venture between the Australian Livestock Export Corporation (LiveCorp) and the Australian Livestock Exporters’ Council (ALEC).

The theme for LIVEXchange 2022 was From here to there together: strengthening our foundations and creating connections.

Discussions centred on the capabilities of the industry, the strength of our markets, and the values shared by everyone in the supply chain, from Australian producers to the families being fed with quality Australian meat overseas.

The theme was also recognition of how the past has shaped the present, and a chance to talk about where we want the industry to go in the next ten years, given it’s a decade since the introduction of regulation effectively making exporters responsible for animal welfare in destination markets.

LIVEXchange 2022 was hosted by the Northern Territory Livestock Exporters’ Association (NTLEA) at the Darwin Convention Centre.

Australian livestock exporters have a proud history of digging deep to support worthy causes through the LIVEXchange gala dinner and charity auction. The beneficiaries are nominated by the hosting state chapter.

The 2022 charity auction raised almost $150,000.
